What Do You Suggest For Severe Problems With Emotions When Pregnant?

Hi. I am about 11 weeks post op from a total hysterectomy. Up until about a week or so ago, I was feeling great. But, lately I have been having a severe problem with my emotions. I am now having several crying bouts a day. I've been on an anti-depressant for over a year now and it has always worked. Now, I find myself feeling bad again. Is it from the abrupt change in my hormones? What do you recommend?

the first thing you need to do is find a professional to talk to, a psychologist, social worker or psychiatrist. if you have trouble finding one, speak with your doctor who can help you. if you feel like you re in danger of harming yourself or someone else, please go to the nearest emergency room right away. if you stopped taking the antidepressant because of the pregnancy, you should talk with your doctor about restarting it, if you are still in it you should discuss increasing the dosage or switching to a new medicine. although we generally avoid these medicines in pregnancy, sometimes it is important to consider the oaks and benefits and it may be appropriate to take. I hope this was helpful, please let me know if you have any more questions.
