Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had undergone bypass surgery in 1998 when I was 36 yrs. Again in 2007 I had one stent and again I had a heart attack in May 2014...I have been constantly taking medicines as per my cardiologist. I do 45 mts walking my lipid profile and cholesterol levels are absolutely normal. Now recently two days ago my doctor asked me to undergo Hs CRP test. The result is More than 10... What does it mean and how do I go about...is it ok if I undergo second by pass..I m now 57 yrs...
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! If hs PCR is >10 mg/l than it is considered highly abnormal, and reflects an inflammatory state within the body (depending on its value, it shows the level of inflammation). Some people undergo repeated by pass when it is judged necessary a new revascularisation procedure, and stent implantation is not feasible. Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings! Dr. Iliri
