What Does Choriodecidual Separation In Early Pregnancy Indicate?

Choriodecidual separation in early pregnancy? What does that mean. My sister is 3 months pregnant and she has Choriodecidual separation in her reports. She is on complete bed rest . Can you please suggest , the harms of Choriodecidual separation .

Dear madam,I understand your concern.fetus is surrounded by two membranes.inner one is amnion layer and outer one is chorion layer.this chorion is attached to the uterine lining called decidua.so usually the chorion and decidua will be adherent.so when they get seperated it is called choriodecidual seperation.it may be due to some harmonal problems mainly progesterone.so complete bed rest is advised bcoz any physical stress may cause complete choriodecidual seperation and abortion.the harms may be abortion,antenatal bleeding.
