What Does UGH-8 And Faint Line Being Positive For Pregnancy Indicate?
Hi, I had a frozen embryo transfer of a 6 day blastocyst 11 days ago. I have been testing positive on home pregnancy tests for the last 6 days. The positive line was much lighter today + I had a beta done which have me a ugh level of 8. Can I definitely take it that this is a non viable pregnancy at this point? thanks Siobhan
Hi there, After reading your question, I am of the opinion that: 1) Beta HCG levels of 8 are very less for a viable pregnancy. 2) Since you are getting positive pregnancy test results, you should wait because minimum level of 1500 IU/ml is required for the urine test to be positive. 3) You cannot definitely say that it is not viable. 4) In my opinion, you must wait for 6 weeks and get an ultrasound done. If there is fetal pole and cardiac activity at 6 weeks, it is viable. If there is no cardiac activity or fetal pole, it would mean it is non-viable. 5) I think you should just sit back and relax and let nature do the rest.
Wish you all the best for your pregnancy. Regards, Dr. Shikha Shah
