What Does A Ball Like Thing In Calf Means?

I have a ball type of a thing in my upper calf that really hurts when I stretch it. I have had this for a long time...since I was around first grade I think. It can really be very painful if I flex that area and also if I rub it I can kind of feel it. I have been to the doctor for something else and just asked them about it quickly and she thought that it might be a calus inside or some an injury that never healed. I really want to figure out what it is cause it causes me problems and it really hurts right now!

You may have some organized hematoma formation, or ganglion cyst or some mass arising from fascial sheath or muscle. You should go for examination and ultrasound study. It will give you exact diagnosis. Id it is mass then you should go for biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
