What Does A Bone Protruding From The Wrist Indicate?
I have a bone jutting out in area between my wrist and hand. I can bend without any pain, do not remember injuring it, and really only feel pain when pulling open a door, holding something heavy or at times during the night when I move in a way to aggravate it. I noticed it about 10 days ago. I routinely play tennis, workout with weights and will begin playing golf more as the weather cooperates. I d love to know how I should focus on getting it back to normal and being pain free. The only normal activity I ve done without any pain is lifting weights - I have not had time to play tennis or golf so not sure what I should refrain from. Thank you.
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Going with the details provided , I am of the opinion that you have a small swelling ( not exactly bony but hard) called ganglion. The picture and problems are same as you have. It may subside on its own , if it does not then please consult your doctor for local steroid injection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
