What Does A Bruise Under Eye Indicate?

What causes a bruise under the eye to appear without any injury to the eye. This has happened to my husband twice now. One minute he is okay and the next he has a bruise under his eye. There is no pain associated with the bruise, but it looks like he was punched in the eye.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
you might be having a low platelet count and hence you are developing these bruises.
Get your platelet levels, bleeding and clotting time checked.
Sometimes spontaneous bruising might be associated with dangerous systemic conditions.
I suggest you to get a thorough check up done.
Usually it takes around 2 weeks for the bruise to heal,
you can use oint thrombophobe to get a faster relief.
A photograph would have helped me better.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
