What Does A Dent/depression Near Or On Soft Spots In Growing Children Indicate?
Hello,
My son (12yrs, 13 in May), came up with a dent/depression on his head. It is the exact area in which they have soft spots. It's a good "dip down" and noticeable. He wears his hear real low to his head-I would know if it was there before. He has always had a perfectly round head. He says it does not heard, just feels "weird" when he touches it. I am very concerned. Taking him to the doctor that I work for today, however he is not a pediatrician. Is this a cause for concern? Should he get a ct scan? I read that these can be caused from Vit D def., but he drinks milk, eats all foods groups great, he is very athletic and active...I just am so worried

Hai.. With his sensorium being normal i wouldn't think about CT or MRI. I don't understand...feeling weird while touching. I suggest you see your pediatrician...but its definitely not an emergency.. Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply, kindly rate it.
