What Does A Foul Smell Around The Penis After Circumcision Indicate?

I am 79 years old. I have Type 2 Diabetes and suffer severe nocturia as a result of radical radiotherapy five hears ago. I was circumcised last Friday 1st March, and have the common after effects, swollen shaft and glans, pain etc.I was advised immediately after my circumcision to take a sample of my urine to my GP when I felt well enough My question is that my penis has a mild smell with no discharge that I can see. I treat my wound with hygiene care including adding salt to my morning bath of my scrotum and penis. i do not wish to try and get to my GP surgery tomorrow. Can i afford to wait a few days and re-evaluate? Thank you

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice

Condition may not need any surgery but it seems to be infection of urinary tract and it is common in post surgical phase of circumcisions. I would advise to do a culture sensitivity of urine. Also, drink enough of water. Prostatitis needs to be ruled out as well.

Hope I have answered your query.
