What Does A Growth In The Anal Opening Indicate?

Hello, I noticed a growth just at the opening of my an canal. I have felt something different over the past 2 or 3 days after going number 2. Tonight I was in the shower washing my anus and notice a hard ball about the size of a peanut just inside the opening. I can feel that it is there. I am straight so I do not engage in anal sex. I am clean. Also, I just turned 48. I have different stools all the time. it depends on what I eat. I can have diarrhea or Hard stool if I have cheese in my diet. I will follow up with my doctor, just curios on your thoughts.

Hi,

You may be suffering from prolapsed haemorrhoids or anal polyps. Until examination is done, as it is difficult to say what it is.

If it is haemorrhoids then you may use ice to reduce inflammation in the local area. Use local application of pilex cream twice a day for five days.

Eat high fibre diet, use syrup. Cremaffin plus at night. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
