I've had a lump on the back of my neck for about 3 weeks. At first I thought it was just a very big pimple because I've had them before, but it doesn't seem to be getting bigger or smaller. Pretty concerned about it. It doesn't itch or burn but sometimes when pushing it, it can become painful or when I tense up my neck. Any help?
The narrated lump seems to be most likely soft tissue lesion as a sebaceous cyst, lipoma or others. A clinical confirmation of the diagnosis with a consultant surgeon is strongly recommended.

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello,
A lump behind neck causing sometimes pain may be due to an infected sebaceous cyst.
This has to be confirmed by a simple procedure called FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology), and the exact diagnosis will be out. My suggestion is, please consult a general surgeon for more information.
