What Does A Lump On The Right Index Finger Indicate?

Hi, I am an 18 year old girl and my right index finger randomly developed a moveable lump, became swollen, and is now bruised bright purple around the lump. My right hand is slightly colder than my left and there are no puncture wounds on my finger. I have no medical conditions. The finger is slightly aching.

The possible reason behind lump on the finger is ganglion or bursa cyst,
which requires clinical confirmation with ultrasound examination of the
lump to confirm the diagnosis and further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
