I have a bump under my skin at the top of my shoulder. Similar to what a pimple would be on my face only no "head" and bigger. It has gotten bigger in the last week-probably the size of a dime right now. It doesn't hurt but is annoying when my brad strap rubs on it. My primary doctor is out of the office for a couple weeks. Would I go to a dermatologist for this?

What Does A Lump On The Shoulder Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. This is most probably sebaceous cyst in nature. You should consult your consultant surgeon rather than a dermatologist. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
