What Does A Mass In The Uterus Indicate?

Hello - I have been having pinkish vaginal discharge (66 years old) and went to my primary care doctor. She requested pap and ultra sound. Pap results were good, but not so much with the vaginal ultrasound. The nurse called yesterday and told me that there is a mass in my uterus that looks like it could be cancerous. I am very nervous. They have requested an appt. with a specialty gynecologist who is supposed to get me in quickly. What can I expect? Ps - have also had active RA for 35 years. Thank you!!!!!

Hi,

Not all the mass are considered as cancerous.
We need to biopsy to confirm cancer. It can be a benign fibroid too.
Meet your doctor and go for a biopsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
