What Does A One Day Period Along With Light Spotting Indicate?
Hi, I had an early miscarriage in June which was too early to show on a scan but showed in a blood test as 31.9 HCG. My endometrium thickness on scan was 10mm the day before I bled (but on the day that blood test was taken). Is this about right? I am concerned that it is too thin as my periods are always light and now only about one day long. I am 32 and been trying to conceive for 15 months, cycle is average 39 days, been on levothyroxine 50mcg for about 4 months now (so wasn't when I miscarried). Thank you.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Scanty flow during menstruation can be due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, or can be due to local pathology and endometrial changes in the uterus like tuberculosis or uterine adhesions. I would suggest you to undergo hysteroscopy and guided biopsy yo rule out local pathology, if your hormonal profile is normal. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
