What Does A Painful Bump In Buttock Crack Indicate?

Hi(: Well, recently, there s something in my butt crack, and it s on the the top. It s at the end of my tail bone. It s just a huge bump, and it hurts when I walk, sit down, or put some slight pressure. My mom says it s a digged in pimple. And we were wondering how to get rid of something like that.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle.
I suggest using an antibacterial soap to clean the area and an antibiotic cream for local application.
I also recommend to maintain a good hygiene.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
