What Does A Painful Bump On The Back Indicate?

Hi,
Had a little bump on my back for many years. Recently it started to grow, and became Jelly-like, and my skin around it got reddish-bruised liked. Painful to the touch. Today I touched it, and it exploded. (drained blood & pus). Still is pretty big. What should I do
