I have a purpleish spot on the underside of my left breast that is a little bit bigger than a pencil eraser. It has been there for about a month, maybe a little longer, but has recently become painful. There is tenderness throughout my entire breast and into my underarm, and it worsens if touched. I do not have insurance and can not afford to pay cash to see a doctor about this, but I am starting to worry. Please help. Any ideas what this could be?
Hi. the probable causes include breast abscess, fat necrosis or some panniculitis among others. You need to see a surgeon immediately as your condition needs immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, you can take a good oral antibiotic. Hope it helps.
