What Does A Red Circular Spot On Lower Side Of Neck Indicate?
I have a red, flat circular spot on the lower left side of my neck. It doesn t itch, and it s smooth to the touch. Actually, I can t even tell that it s there other than seeing it. I just noticed it tonight. It s about the size of the top of a pencil eraser. I m on Herceptin and Perjeta for Stage 4 METS breast cancer. I ve had basal cell skin cancers removed as well as on squamous cell spot. I keep an eye on my skin. I m not sure how I missed this current spot. I m also on Carvedol for heart damage from the chemo. I m praying that this new spot is not melanoma, but I have no idea what else it could be. What do you think it could be?
Hi.. welcome to healthcaremagic.com and myself Dr. Atishay Bukharia would be answering your questions..
Red Circular patch is going in favour of Tinea corporis. It is quite common in patients with systemic disorder and is a fungal invasion of skin. Other cause of it may be LOCALISED PSORIASIS and SUBACUTE CUTANEOUS LUPUS ERYTHEMATOUS. Final diagnosis could only be made on physical examination.
hope it helps
