What Does A Sclerotic Lesion On The Ninth Rib Mean?
I am a generally healthy 65 year old female. My biggest issue about 3 years ago was kidney stones requiring lithotripsy. I have moved and my new provider ordered a CT scan due to my history. No stones but a sclerotic lesion on my ninth rib. What could that be?

A sclerotic lesion on the rib can be a chance finding and may not be related to any pathology. This is not a worrisome finding and you can get a re-evaluation done after 6 months.
