What Does A Small Knot On Back Of Head Indicate?

yes my question is i have small knot on the back of my head it s at the lower part of my head and it only hurts when i touch it. What do you think that maybe..my boyfriend told me that it wasn t nothing serious but i was just kind of worried and curious?

As per the description of your clinical symptoms, it seems that you may have the following probabilities:
1. A sebaceous cyst, which if present and becomes symptomatic ( pain , infection or lenlarged) needs to be surgically removed.

2. Another possibility is a lymph node at the occipital region which often gets enlarged due to some infective pathology ( or may even be idiopathic).
Usually it is self limiting, but in case symptoms persists longer you need to visit your treating physician to rule out the exact cause and proceed accordingly.
