What Does A Twitching Sensation On The Right Side Of The Mouth Indicate?
I have a strange twitch going on for almost a week now below the right side of my mouth. No mouth movement or twitching, just a strange little twitch that looks more like a vein throbbing slightly underneath the skin. I do not feel or see any muscle contracting at all,
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. it may be due to hypokalemia or hypocalcemia also. need MRI scan for facial nerve compression or electromyography of the face. Treated with Carbamazepine or Phenytoin to block the nerve , local botox injections may useful.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
