What Does A White-colored Skin Flap In The Nostril Indicate?
I have had allergy problems and about a month ago what seems to be a flap of skin, perhaps something else? began moving back and forth with my breathing in one of my nostrils. It does not hurt, but is annoying and, to some degree, interferes with unimpeded breathing through my nose. It is up a ways, but I can see it. It appears white in color. Is that skin or could it be mucus that is dried and attached inside?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of white-colored skin flap in the nostril which is due to irritated lining of nostrils. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction , injury to the nose , repeated sneezing, nasal polyp and upper respiratory infection. For now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses on nose and take steam. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order nasal endoscopy , CT scan ,blood tests and x-ray to rule out conditions like nasal polyp . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti histamine and may recommend surgery in case of nasal polyp.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
