What Does An Age Risk Of 1:248 Mean On Amniocentesis?

hello! My name is Simona Cristescu, I am for Romania. Yesterday I made an amniocentesis (because I am 35, 6 years old); The Double TEst indicated an Age risk of 1;248; I am pregnant in 19 weeks! After amnio my doctor prescribed me Zinnat 500, 1 pill at 12 hours. My weight is 62 kg.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Age risk on double marker test means that the risk of having a Down syndrome baby at your age with the results of serum markers is 1:248. The risk is not very high, and amniocentesis might have been done due to any abnormalities in the ultrasound.
