What Does Atypical Hemangioma In An MRI Report Suggest?
Findings: 6 mm T1/T2/STIR hyperintense focus within clivus. It could represent an atypical hemangioma though it is indeterminate. Clovis 6 mm lesion may represent Ana tipi all hemangioma though it is indeterminate. Recommend 3-6 month follow up MRI cervical spine with and without contrast. Found in my sister
On MRI a hemangioma is suspected in clivus bone. Hemangioma is a benign tumor of blood vessels. Owing to its benign nature, it is not dangerous, however, it needs to be monitored for any increase in size. Thus, a 3-6 monthly follow up is recommended.
