What Does Blood In Urine Suggest?

Hi, yesterday I wend for a medical, and they told me that I have a trace amount of blood in my urine and that it was probably due to my period which is due to start in a day or two. My question is, is this normal? I'm anxious since hearing this and would like an opinion. I 30 yrs old, weigh 9st 1lb amf 5ft 5 tall and of good health.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Improper urine catch would have caused mixing of blood from periods into urine
2. However, if you have any burning urination, you need to get a urine microscopy for leukocytes done to confirm urinary tract infection.
3. Wait for a few days, until period ends. If blood continues in urine, then you will require urine microscopy for evaluation.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
