What Does Constant Hip Pain And Shooting Pain In Leg After Fall Mean?
Hi, I fell about 3 months ago and tore a ligament in my ankle. I landed on my right hip and bruised my side. Since then I have had constant hip pain like the bones are grinding together and sometimes a shooting pain down my leg. Is it that my back could be out of place?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
You should undergo x-ray hip joint and leg. If everything turns out to be negative, then get MRI done to rule out any muscle, ligament injury.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
