There is mild cortical thinning involving the right kidney with the cortex appearing mildly echogenic. There is focal cortical scarring in the upper pole of the right kidney as well. Correlation with renal function studies is recommended. what does this mean?
Hi The finding indicates that the kidney has suffered from some sort of damage either by drugs, by infections, by inflammation or by other means like diabetes or hypertension etc. I will advice you to see a nephrologist who will do some blood tests and urine tests to find the cause of damage and advice ways to limit the damage
