What Does Cyst In Ovary And Bump In Uterus Mean?

hello doctor ,
I missed by periods by 14 days .i took pregnancy test which came negative .After a week of waiting i consulted a doctor who put me through a internal scan .She said she could see some thing in my uterus ..(i feel a small bump too ) .She also said i have cysts in my left ovary .What does this mean ????

Hi,

If the one inside the uterus is cystic then there are chances of you being pregnant. If it is a bump then it could be a fibroid, so no need to worry. Cyst in the ovary could be a functional cyst if it is less then 3 cm. If it is more than 3 cms and if it is causing any symptoms like pain then it has to be treated.
