What Does Dark Stools With Spots Of Blood In A Child Mean?
My son is nine years old. On Sunday of this week he had told my wife and I that his stool was dark in colour. Today my son had bowel movement and his stool was brown in colour but had little spots of blood. I have made an appointment for him to see our family Doctor on Thursday. My son doesn t feel sick as lots of energy. What do you think this could be?

In the vast majority of cases, this to due to hard stools. Often a stool softener solves the problem. Adding fiber to the diet will help. Until you see your doctor on Thursday, you can start this now.
