What Does Delayed Period Along With Stomach Pain Indicates?

doctor my name is deborah, i got married last yr nov, my last periods was on 3rd of july, so my next excepted periods should be on 31st july, but still i didnt get my periods, feelin tired and stomach pain is there can you pls suggest me wat to do can i take a pregnancy test

Hello Deborah,

I can understand your concern. As you are already almost a month delayed for your period, you should surely take a home pregnancy test and rule that out as a cause of absent periods.

If the test comes negative, it is advisable to visit your gynecologist for physical examination for other causes such as polycystic ovaries, premature ovarian follicle failure, thyroid dysfunction, infection of the ovaries/uterus etc. You might have to for blood tests and sonogram. Based on the test results, diagnosis can be determined and treatment can be started.
