What Does Dominant Solid Right Thyroid Nodule On USG Suggest?
Here are the findings to an ultrasound of my thyroid with a recommendation for a FN tissue sampling. sonography shows a normally positioned thyroid gland The right lobe measures 1.8 x 2.3 x 4.3cm. The left lobe measures 1.2 x 1.3 x4.1 cm. the isthmus measures 2 mm. the gland is significant for a dominat solid hypervascular nodule replacing with majority of the right gland. This measures 1.6 x 2.1 x 3.3 cm in size. This is not associated with suspicious microcalcifications. no adenopathy is present. Impression: Dominant solid right thyroid nodule which may warrant further investigation with tissue sampling.
