What Does Dry Tongue With Swelling And Sensitive Mouth Indicate?
I woke up 3 days ago and I had a very dry tongue, it was sensitive as if i had burnt it. My frenulum under my tongue was swollen and I have white bumps on it as well as around my gums. My entire mouth is sensitive. Not really painful, just sensitive. Ive had a huge month at work, and I assume my immune system is really low, as I had a cold and cold sores the week before. should I be worried.
Hi. Thanks for your query. All the symptoms you have said to have are suggestive of a condition called Vincent's angina, an infection of the oral cavity by bacteria to the extent that it is very difficult that you can not swallow and speak. You may need admission to the hospital. And a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole. Intravenous fluids and supportive treatment.
