I am a woman aged 35. Recently I suffered from bronchetic disorder and suspected TB for which I was treated. After using medicines for 15 days, I experienced burning while passing urinne. Consulted Gynochologist, who advised to undergo urinine culture test. Urine culture showed e.coli, colony count 2 lakhs CFU/ML. Is std causes for e.coli in urine ? Do I have STD ? How ?
Presence of E. coli in urine does not suggest STD.
My guidelines at present
- drink more liquids
- urinary alkaliser as cranberry sachet in water
- control of blood sugar
- antibiotic support with the prescription of your doc as per the culture sensitivity report of the urine
- keep genital hygiene at its best
- avoid vaginal intercourse (if active at present).
Be in regular follow up with your doctor about the necessary further guidelines to cure at earliest.
