What Does Excessive Weight Loss After Polyps Removal Surgery Indicate?

I have been losing weight without trying to. My hemoglobin count in May had dropped to 6.6. I was on xarelto blood thinner. I had a colonoscopy, endoscopy and cat scan of my chest and abdomen. I had polyps which were removed and were not cancerous. I am concerned because of the loss of weight. The family doctor and GI doctor are not overly concerned, but I am. I have lost over 20 pounds since Feb.

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hi and thank you for asking.

You should contact your gastroenterologist to repeat all the examinations to definitely exclude any problems.

If the examinations will be negative (normal) again you shouldn't worry about.

Wish you health!
