What Does Exhaustion And High Heart Rate Indicate In Ex-smoker?
i am unable to complete any strenuous tasks last month I gave up smoking. ever since I have actually felt much weaker and my heart rate keeps going up; and I can't seem to do tasks like run, carry things or even have sex I get exhausted and my heart rate is getting higher thanks in advance
The smoking cessation significantly reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer. Cessation is not normally associated with weakness and increased heart rate.
There is likely another cause that needs to be explored via physical examination and blood tests. Blood tests would include a full blood count to rule out anemia and thyroid disease to check for low levels.
May also need heart evaluation as well- ECG, echo
I hope this helps
