What Does Facial Flushing Followed By Flaking Indicate?

I have been experiencing fascial flushing/hotness for a couple of years now. It comes on in the afternoons and evenings, but by morning it is mainly gone. Often it is so red it feels like sunburn and even leaves my skin flaking a day later just like it was sunburn.
I have tried avoid a whole range of foods in case it is an allergy, but nothings changes.
The way it comes later in the day and then is gone by morning makes me think it might be hormonal. I am a 56 year old male. Thanks Dennis Cantwell

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello Mr. Dennis,

The way you have described your symptoms, they could be related to carcinoid (not that you have a carcinoid for sure). But you should get yourself evaluated by an Endocrinologist and get the relevant tests done.

Hope I am able to help.
