What Does Fluid In Windpipe On A Swallowing Test Suggest?
My 70 yr old sister in law haschadca swallowing test today resulting in food and liquid going into her windpipe. Shebhasbparkinsons, staf and sudomonius atvthe moment. She can't breath or talk very well, what does this fluid in windpipe mean??she is on I.v antibiotics and oxygen?

Normally food and water goes through the esophagus and reaches the stomach without entering wind pipe.Food and water in wind pipe suggest abnormal connection between wind pipe and food pipe..
when food or water enter wind pipe ,it goes upto lung and cause inflammation and infection in the lungs for which we have to prescribe antibiotics.
