What Does Free Fluid On Pod And Adnexa In The Ultrasound Indicate?
Hi there. I had an ultrasound done the report said that the uterus is retro flexed, retroverted and shows homogenous myometrical echoes. No focal lesions are noted in uterus and endometrial cavity is normal. But there is free fluid on pod and right adnexa. Could you explain this a little further please?
It is okay to have some free fluid in pouch of Douglas (pod), after each ovulation some free fluid along with the rupture of follicle is released from each ovary which collects in pod.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
