What Does Frequent Urination With Dry Mouth & Weight Loss Suggest?
Hello…My husband is 55 year old. The last few days he’s been urinating frequently to where he’s had to get up several times at night. He’s drinking A LOT of water, but can’t seem to quench his thirst and is experiencing constant dry mouth and feels dehydrated. He’s experiencing changes in his vision. He’s also noticed he’s had a 15-lb weight loss, but hasn’t had any changes in his appetite. Some backround medical info: he does currently have problems with high blood pressure and cholesterol and had a stent put in a few years ago. He has an appointment to see the doctor in a couple of days, but I’m concerned if I need to bring him into emergency sooner.
hai, I appreciate the way the you present your complain of your husband. From your detailed and clear history it seems to diabetes melitus(Diabetes).
as your husband got predisposing factor like high cholesterol and high blood pressure and common symptoms of diabetes (excess urination, excess thirst, dryness of mouth) giving me a lead to be A diabetes.
random blood sugar level will help you in making out it. glucose tolerance test will confirm the diabetic condition.
it is not a emergency condition but still you need to visit a physician to rule the condition as soon as possible with proper investigation and diagnosis.
thank you hope i answered your query.
