Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 63 years Indian Origin, I have had few times severe giddiness and head reeling while passing the urine and motion in mid night. Some times it is very hard for me to reach the bed after this during mid night. Any advise will be highly appreciated.
Hi Govinda, Giddiness at nights when you wake up to pass stools and urine is due to postural hypotension. If you are hypertensive, look into medications. It might be more. If you are not, you need to careful while getting up. Get up slowly as body will take some time to adjust. Take more fluids. Use caffeine, salts to increase pressure. Further if you feel still giddy, meet your doctor. Any further queries, happy to help.
