My 12 yr old daughter came to show me this bubble like in her right nostral. Its sorta green and clear color. Not complaining of discomfort or pain. Shes been known to have year round sinus problems of green snot oozing from nose. She has had suregery done back in 2010 for tonsils and adenoids. What can it be and what should be done? Chastity
Hi. The greenish and clear colour bubble in the nasal cavity fits the description of a nasal polyp.
She may have developed the polyposis due to her repeated sinus problems. The greenish snot from the nose points towards a fungal pathology and she may have something called as Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) that can also lead to development of polyposis. A nasal polyp is nothing but an elongated mass of nasal mucosa.
In my opinion your daughter needs an ENT evaluation with nasal endoscopy and CT scan of her paranasal sinuses. If polyps are confirmed they will need to be surgically removed following which she may need steroid nasal sprays and antihistamines for many years.
Do have this evaluated. Let me know if I can answer any further questions.
