My urine changed to green. I am diabetic and have not comsumed beverages or food with added green color. This occurred after my last appointment. There has been no change in my medications, I see an Internal Medical doctor. I also see a wound care Dr. See does not prescribe any oral meds It has been green for about a week.
Greenish yellow or greenish brown coloration of urine can be due to urinary tract or bladder infection, use of any dye in any food products or medications. Certain dyes used in the bladder or kidney test may also cause green coloration of the urine. However, liver dysfunction can also cause changes in the coloration of the urine.
Visit ER, get CBC, urinalysis, liver function tests done to rule out any liver pathology. Get treated. In the meantime, take Liver tonics and plenty of fruits, veggies and berries. Avoid addictions if any. Take plenty of water.
