What Does Gush Of Clear Liquid From Vagina Indicate?
I am 18 years old and I had a gush of clear liquid from my vagina, I think? Completely wet my underwear, ran down my legs, into my shoes. Never had this happen before. I am not sexually active and I am not taking any form of oral contraceptives. I am to start my period this week. Should I worry?
According to your description the possibilities are: -Increased vaginal discharge, but usually vaginal discharge may not be in that much quantity as you have described. - Sometimes incontinence of urine because of either urge or stress can present like this. - Rarely situation called hydrometra can be seen in which water like fluid will be collected in the uterus, but this is rare at your age and according to your history.
If the same thing is repeated in future, better to consult your gynecologist once and get examined by clinical examination and by an ultrasound the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
