What Does Having Mucus In Colon Causing On And Off Diarrhea Mean?

My husband has had on and off diarrhea every since he had a TIA in dec. He had a colonsopy today and every thing was fine. But the doctor said he had a lot of musuc in his colon. Can you give me any I formation on that? And he suggested grtting some yougurt.

You have problem of more mucus secreation that may be because of intestinal infection like ulcerative colitis.

In irritable bowel syndrome more mucus secreation is present.
Abdominal ultra sonography is helpful for diagnose.
Colonoscopy is helpful for further diagnosis.
