What Does High E.coli Count In An Infant S Stool Mean?

my brother s daughter is 6 months old. she had watery diarrhea for 5 days then regular stool but often. nearly 10 to 15 times a day. urine culture was taken, which shows as organism found is e.coli and colony count is 80000. wat is the diagnosis? and how it can be treated

Hi, urine culture report with e. coli with more than 10000 colony count is suggestive of urinary tract infection. Based on this report they would have done sensitivity to drugs which should be given for treatment. You can take a picture of the report and revert back so that antibiotics can be started accordingly. Take care.
