What Does Indentation On Back Of Head Post Injury Indicate?

hello my boyfriend just found a dent in the back of his head and he went to a doctor and she said that he has had a nasty fall in the past and has a hematoma on his head and has to go in for blood tests and she put him on antibiotics, whats happening? Is he going to be okay? i am really scared

Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

You should not be worried about because dents after trauma are very common. Antibiotics are used just for prevention with no real benefit. Indeed, I would not not recommend at all.

This situations are self limiting and benign.
