What Does Indented Rib Cage With Breathing Difficulty Suggest?

One of my rib cages is indented. The other one sticks out. When I put pressure on them they hurt. When I am very active they hurt. Also, I dont know if it is just in my head or not but I may have trouble breathing at times because of it. What is this?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Normally if a person is right sided dominant his right sided chest Is prominent than left side and vise versa. This is normal . But if one sided rib cage is significantly indented it may be due to underlying lung fibrosis. Lung fibrosis is associated with breathing difficulties. So you need to be examined by chest physician. I would and s social else advise Xray of chest postero anterior view to rule out underlying lung abnormalities. If it's normal leave your worries. All the best.
