Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM. I want to ask you few questions.
1. Had your father TB in past?
2. Is your father have smoking habit?
Upper zone infiltrates is seen in either pneumonia or old Pulmonary TB.
And flattened diaphragm s can be seen in smokers.
I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done sputum examination to rule out pneumonia.
Or you can also go for CT thorax as CT gives much better idea about infiltrates whether they are fresh active lesion or due to old healed lesion.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
