What Does Irregular Vaginal Bleeding Post Medical Abortion Indicate?

Hi Andrew, I took MTP on Feb 23 (in 2nd month) and I got aborted. I started bleeding and it continued for 15 days and stopped. again I stared bleeding on March 28th at 4pm and started bleeding and it stopped at 9pm and started bleeding again on 31st March in the morning around 10 am and it continued till night 9pm and again started today just few hours back. Can you please suggest me? Is this normal or should consult a doctor

Hello,

You have to consult a gynecologist as early as possible and get an ultrasound scan done to look for any retained tissue inside your uterus. Continuous bleeding may be due to incomplete abortion. As of now you can take Tranexamic Acid tablet to control bleeding. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
